Kristoffy Collection of Hungarian Folk Objects

The Kristoffy Collection of Hungarian folk objects, ceramic plates and pitchers, richly embroidered and woven textiles, wood workings and the leather whips and trappings of the herdsmen of Hortobágy, the Hungarian plains, are part of the permanent collections of the Cleveland Hungarian Museum. The cherished items collected over a life-time were donated by the Kristoffy family to the Museum to ensure their preservation and to make them accessible to future generations. The Kristoffy Collection is part of the “Fine Art to Folk Art “ Exhibit on display in the Cleveland Hungarian Museum, located in the Galleria in Cleveland, OH, from November 2019 to April 2020.
