We are pleased to announce that we have been awarded a grant by the Hungarian Government through the Bethlen Gábor Fund Management, in support of our efforts to share with the greater community our Hungarian culture and history and the Hungarian immigrant story of Northeast, Ohio.
Our 2024 Fall program Series continues on Saturday, November 9th, as we feature the book The Politzer Saga, written by Linda Ambrus Broenniman. The book details the history of how a box found among the ashes of a house fire launches Linda Ambrus Broenniman on a quest to discover the truth behind her family’s biggest secret—that her Catholic father was actually
Jewish and his family’s history was a lie. The truth about her father was hidden by her immigrant parents determined to make a clean break with their past. Linda Ambrus Broenniman grew up in Buffalo, NY. She is the middle child of seven born to her Hungarian physician parents who survived World War II and started their new life in the U.S. in 1949. Join us on November 9th at 2 o’cock at the Hungarian Museum in the Galleria at Erieview. This family history promises to be a riveting story!
