Welcome to our new Gift Shop! The Gift Shop is now open Tuesdays through Fridays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on those Saturdays when we have programming at the Museum.
At the end of November, the Cleveland Hungarian Heritage Society moved its Museum to a new location on the first floor of the Galleria in Downtown Cleveland. The amount of energy and work that members of our Board and faithful volunteers dedicated to this move was astounding, and we gratefully acknowledge everyone’s contribution. Our Gift Shop is open for your shopping convenience, and you can also view the Museum’s collection and special exhibits. Your purchases help support our efforts at preserving and showcasing Hungarian culture in Northeast Ohio. We feature Hungarian ceramics, porcelain, paprika products, “csiga” noodles, greeting cards, t-shirts, embroideries and many more Hungarian themed gift items.
To inquire about our merchandise, please call the Museum at 216-523-3900 on the days that we are open.
I live in Pittsburgh and would love to visit your shop. Particularly if you have a Hungarian flag. My brother is in charge of “Meet the Breed” for Pumik at a national dog show in December in Orlando. He would like to have a Hungarian flag to put on the front of the display table like a skirt. He said the table is 8 feet long; the flag would have to be as wide as possible. Just to give you an idea of his dedication to the breed and our beloved Tess, he is having a woman in Hungary make him a cifraszur. He has the shepherd’s staff, pipe, knife and I forget what else. All those items will be on the table with him standing there in his full regalia talking about the Pumik. And all the other information he has learned about the breed and Hungary. I don’t know if we can talk his wife into wearing a costume. But I would consider it.
So you can see why a road trip would be great if I can come home with lots of goodies. The flag has priority, of course. My office number is 412/ 383 – 5124. Thank you very much.
Dear Bonnie!
As I said in my telephone message to you, please call our Museum on Tuesday between 11 and 3. Our Gift Shop volunteers on that day would be able to let you know whether we have the items you are looking for. The number to cal is 216-523-3900. I am almost sure we have a Hungarian flag.
Sincerely,
