Monday evening , October 14th, was a special occasion because a group of students from the Cleveland Hungarian School and their teachers came to visit the Museum. This field trip was organized by the School’s principal, Endre Szentliralyi. Some of the students spent time hunting for answers to questions as they explored the exhibits. Others worked on crossword puzzles; the answers to the clues were found in the exhibit featuring cities, parks, castles, architecture, and many more interesting places in Hungary. Some students looked through copies of the Cleveland Press newspapers from 1956 that featured the events of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution. The kids were treated to homemade chili prepped by Janos Szigeti, president of our Board. It was a great hour spent together, helping these young Hungarians become familiar with the Museum’s rich material.
