2022 Vintner Dinner was a lively event!

What does good food, delicious Hungarian wines, lively company and great music spell? V-I-N-T-N-E-R  D-I-N-N-E-R!!!!! It was a determined TGIF group who came together on Friday evening, October 14, to celebrate the 26th Vintner Dinner, and to support the Museum with their presence and good cheer.

The featured wines that evening were a 2020 “Leányka” from the Tóth Ferenc Winery in Eger,  followed by a 2019 “Barát Hárslevelű” from the Gizella Winery in Tokaj. The same Gizella Winery was the source for the next wine, the 2019 “Szent Tamás Hárslevelű” from their “Grand Cru” vineyard. Our featured red wine for the evening was the 2017 “Kékfrankos” from the Szt. Donát Winery in Balatonfüred-Csopak. The dessert wine was the  2017 “Tokaj Sweet Szamorodni” from the Erzsébet Winery’s “Király Grand Cru” vineyard in Tokaj. All these wines were served with delicious appetizers, fresh salad, tasty salmon or pork schnitzel, and a rich chocolate dessert. Guests were able to to enjoy each other’s company while sipping wine and listening to the wonderful music provided by members of Harmonia.

One of the  highlights of the dinner was the presentation of a certificate honoring Diana Rogers and Daniel Corrigan for all their efforts in support of the mission of the Hungarian Genealogical Society of Greater Cleveland. The Museum recognized the Society’s work in helping members of our community research their Hungarian ancestry.

And finally, our guests had fun participating in our raffle and also taking to the dance floor after the dinner….a great way to end a fun and worthwhile evening!! Click Read more for photographs!
