Thanks to all of you who supported our Vintner Dinner, virtually or in person!

What a wonderful evening we had as supporters of the Cleveland Hungarian Museum gathered together for our 25th Silver Anniversary Vintner Dinner!  Some of our friends who were unable to attend in person, joined us virtually for part of the evening, and some friends of the Museum made donations to support our event and received wonderful gift packs of Hungarian wines.  We were honored to have as special guests from Hungary Dr. Márta Mátrai, Deputy of the Speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly, Dr. Zsolt Páva, from the Hungarian Consulate in Chicago, and Ms. Beatrix Kese, Deputy Director of Foreign Relations of the Hungarian National Assemby.

Our Honoree for this year’s Dinner was the United Hungarian Societies, and their president, Dr. Endre Szentkirályi, was present to accept our certificate. All in all, it was a memorable event that celebrated 25 years of tasting wine for the benefit of our beloved Museum. The dinner included a raffle and silent auction, and among the many lovely items on the raffle table were some bottles of rare and delicious Aszu wines donated by the Chicago Hungarian Consulate. The dining room was beautifully decorated and the music for the evening was provided by the talented musicians of Harmonia. Our MC for the evening was Board member Paul Strada. Gábor Bánfalvi of Taste Hungary joined us via Skype from Croatia to give our guests valuable insight to the five wonderful Hungarian wines we tasted throughout the dinner. Special thanks goes to Nicholas Szentkirályi for the wonderful photographs featured in this post.  Vintner Dinner Committee members organized a great party! The convivial atmosphere made for delightful autumn evening!
